Distillery Reserve Series - Monster Mash Whiskey

Just in time to bring a hint of horror to your bottle collection, we present . . . THE RETURN OF MONSTER MASH. Our latest Distillery Reserve release has been concocted in the dead of night in our mad scientist’s laboratory, and the amount of sweetness and complexity we’ve packed into this monster is downright unholy. However, we’ve got to warn you. We only made around 350 bottles, so this is an incredibly limited release. Our Distillery Reserve Series releases are highly anticipated and collectible. ABOUT THE WHISKEY

This ominous bourbon was born of five Texas grain sources: white corn, winter hawk wheat, rye, malted barley, and malted rye. Trapped in an oak cask for three years, this unquiet spirit has burst forth to deliver diabolical deliciousness. Beware: this whiskey must be consumed at night—and we advise you not to drink it alone.

This monster greets you with scents of salted pecans, dates, and saltwater taffy, followed by subtle hints of caramel, cherries, brown sugar, toffee, and peanut butter. The velvety palate brings notes of chocolate cherries, salted pretzels, Whoppers malt candy, fluff, and milk chocolate. These initial notes are followed closely by a fall carnival of allspice, spiced apples, and maple syrup. A hint of peaches lingers within a complex finish that is at once smooth, round, sweet, and dry.

ABOUT THE LABEL ART

We loved the label for last year’s Monster Mash so much—with its oak monster and his squirrel friend—that we decided to go back to the same artist. The label features the same monster as last year, though perhaps a bit older and wiser now, with a bit more moss growing on his bark. This year, our friend is just leaving the fall carnival—and he seems to have had a wonderful time. He even won himself a teddy bear. For the lucky few who are able to purchase one of these bottles, there will also be a limited amount of commemorative posters available for purchase, signed by artist Dan Grissom.
